The Flat corrosion cell is suitable for corrosion measurements of a wide variety of flat samples in a liquid environment. It contains high-quality Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), borosilicate, and stainless-steel materials that can withstand at elevated temperature (up to 100^oC).

Description

The sample is installed onto PTFE sample support outside the glass cell and is connected with electrolyte through the area of 1cm² hole. Sample mounting screws provided on the frame ensure the rigid mounting of the sample without electrolyte leakage through the hole. The PTFE frame of the other side of the glass-cell contains platinum-mesh as a counter electrode (included parts). Kanopy reference electrodes (not included, can be ordered separately) will fit in the B-14 neck joint adjacent to the working electrode. This setup comes with extra neck joints the can be used either for gas-purging or temperature sensor or simply kept closed with a glass stopper when unused.

Working Volume	A borosilicate glass cell of 250mL volume; customized volume is available.
Working electrode port	1cm² bore onto the PTFE frame, which exposes the working electrode/sample to the electrolyte solution.
Working electrode dimensions	Minimum 12mm X 12mm.
Sample mounting screw	A threaded rod to attach the coupon tightly on the working electrode port.
Reference electrode port	SGJ B14, compatible with all Kanopy reference electrodes.
Counter electrode port	A small bore onto the PTFE frame containing Pt-mesh counter electrode of mesh size 10mmx10mm.
Spare port	SGJ B14; can be used for other purposes such as gas purging or temperature sensing.
