Efficient design of electrode for photo electrocatalytic water splitting

Keeping in mind the need of alternative fuel worldwide, we promote hydrogen generation research to bring hydrogen as a solution. Using solar energy for hydrogen production is one of the noble and sustainable ways.

We are extending our developed approach for fabricating an efficient and highly stable electrode to generate hydrogen through splitting the water using solar energy.


Key points:

  • Formation of tailored interfaces and proper exposure to the solar light is feasible with our approach which is essential in enhancing the performance of photoelectrocatalytic water splitting.
  • Enhanced charge-carrier generation and separation is possible with our approach
  • Easy to extend our approach to fabricate the electrode nanostructures having different shaped photocatalyst (like nanowires) for further enhancement in the performance.
